Other Ways to Help

Discover Other Ways to Support Resurrection House

Resurrection House depends on the compassion and generosity of people like you. Your prayers, volunteer service, financial gifts, and donations of goods make it possible for us to care for our homeless neighbors with dignity and respect. Below are some creative and meaningful ways you or your group can get involved.

Host a Drive for Needed Items

Organize a collection drive with your workplace, church, or community group. Items we always need include canned food, bottled water, hygiene products, new socks and undergarments, cold weather gear (jackets, gloves, hats, blankets), warm weather essentials (sunscreen, insect repellent, brimmed hats), and basic supplies like laundry detergent or paper goods. These drives have an immediate impact on those we serve.

Donate Personal Hygiene Items

Cleanliness restores dignity. Essential hygiene products such as razors, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine products, baby wipes, and towels are always in high demand. Items can be dropped off directly at Resurrection House, and many supporters choose to order online and ship items straight to us.

Assemble Hygiene Kits

Put together small hygiene bags with travel-sized items like soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, tissues, chap stick, or razors. These ready-to-go kits are a simple but powerful way to meet immediate needs for those who come through our doors.

Clothing & Shoes

We gratefully accept gently used clothing and shoes for men and women of all sizes. Professional clothing is especially helpful for clients preparing for job interviews. Clean, durable clothing like jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers are also in constant demand.

Tribute Gifts

Honor a loved one by making a gift in their name. Whether in memory of someone special or in celebration of an occasion, a tribute gift to Resurrection House makes a lasting impact in the lives of the homeless. We will gladly notify the recipient of your thoughtful donation.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many employers match their employees’ charitable contributions. Ask your HR department if your company offers a matching program and multiply the impact of your gift.

Legacy Giving

Consider leaving a legacy of compassion by including Resurrection House in your estate planning. A charitable bequest is a powerful way to ensure your values live on and continue to support those most in need.

Insurance and Retirement Plans

Another way to create lasting impact is by naming Resurrection House as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or retirement account.
